Stem-Production Software Service FAQs

General

Your audio recordings should be recorded and submitted as MONO 48 kHz/24 bit wave (.wav) files.

For software, you need a Digital Audio Workstation capable of

a) exporting MIDI Type 1 files of your scores (any submitted project MIDI file must include all of the recorded musicians (leaders) and all virtual instruments’ (followers) parts as separate MIDI tracks + tempo track information). Examples of such software are Cubase, Digital Performer, Reaper, etc.

b) aligning your recorded tracks to each other and to your MIDI score, especially if the musicians were not recorded at the same time and place.

For full details see Your MIDI score set up tutorial.

Examples of the set of stems delivered by our service can be found on our Download page. Once your files have been accepted, your stems will be ready in 24 hours. We will send you an email to let you know when they are ready for download.
